The Second Sky (part 9)

Leah asks why Sela and Rovan parted; Grandmother explains their duties, then Sela continues west with Deren’s party.

Sela reaches the coast, reunites with familiar faces, and joins an aurora-lit offering where a family debates its promised catch.

Sela proposes a compromise, but Vara calls the vow a promise; the household chooses to give the whole catch, and Sela helps carry it.

Back at the coast, Sela sends for Rovan as promised, then returns to ordinary work while quietly looking toward the inland road.

At the upper yard, Rovan prepares to leave after Sela’s message; Pell checks the route while Nara and Marek see how eager he is.

Rovan crosses the snowy route to the coast; Sela spots him from afar, and they reunite with a warm kiss beneath the aurora.
